This kitchen addition in Belleville, IL expanded the kitchen area and added space for a wine bar and a new half-bath to the Kates’ family home. The challenge for any addition is matching the existing brickwork, siding, and roof. This project removed an existing cantilever portion of the kitchen and created a 7’ deep by 12’ wide kitchen addition; plus a 11’6’ deep by 10’9” wide area for the bathroom and wine-bar area.  Inside the new kitchen Fulford Home Remodeling removed a dividing wall between the kitchen and the living room and removed a window to create the wall for the bathroom. Overall, the addition added 208 sq. ft. of new space to the home. The kitchen features Diamond cabinetry with a Sullivan-Maple door style with an Icy Avalanche finish with Granite countertops on the wall cabinetry in Dalicatus Crème color.  In contrast the oversized island top has Cambria-quartz countertop in Cambria-Black.  Throughout the kitchen the flooring is 20x20” luxury glazed porcelain tile flooring in “Smoke” color laid in a diagonal pattern.  In both the kitchen and the wine-bar area the backsplash features 3x12” “Marlow-Smoke” colored glazed ceramic tiles laid in a Herringbone pattern. Other features include “Elkay E-Granite-Luxe” undermount kitchen sink, Delta “Mateo” kitchen pull-down faucet,  and a unique array of storage drawers including a pot-n-pans holder, full height waste-basket cabinet, and a pet feeding-drawer cabinet for the family dogs. This gorgeous kitchen addition opened up to their home to an existing giant great room giving the homeowners a massive space to enjoy family and friends.
